17 weeks...

I am seventeen going on eighteen, I-I-I'll take ca-a-re of yoooou.... [and now I want to watch Sound of Music...]. anyways, another week down and another week closer to meeting baby j! crazy to think that next week, we'll only be six months away from my due date! eeeeeeee.

so we had our monthly check-up yesterday and everything was right on track and normal, which is always so great to hear. such a relief. I'm starting to really like the doctors and nurses at our OB's office, not that I didn't before - I just didn't feel connected, but now I feel really comfortable there and just appreciative of them.

this week at work has been great, quiet but productive. I'm feeling on top of my game and prepared for the next semester (and for taking the summer off), I've already started the preparations for all next year which is putting me at ease for a solid and productive spring.

so it's my 17th week of pregnancy, nothing too out of the ordinary it's been pretty similar to the last few, here are the highlights:

• baby j is the size of an ONION, TURNIP, APPLE (?!) [depending on what email you go by] and is approximately 5.1 inches and 5.9 ounces and now their little fingers and toes have one of a kind prints! eeeeeeeeeee. i love this baby.
• sleeping: same as normal, still sleeping through the night and just having crazy vivid dreams
• bloody noses: 1 [hooray increased blood flow throughout my body... yup, that was sarcasm]
• objects Oliver destroyed: 2 [RIP green sparkly christmas ornament and brand new black heels] - 3 if you count the present that  he opened for me from under the christmas tree [thanks Ollie, got my comfy pink pj pants early]
• number of times DJ told me he loves the chick-fil-a chicken sandwich: 2309, he really loves it.
• bra extenders bought: one package, since I've already outgrown the two new bras I bought. oh yes. screw that - not buying any more new bras... [fingers crossed]
• back pain? yes. still there. no fun.however, my OB informed me that it was't due to my SI joints/nerves (urgent care doctor = idiot) but due to my ever growing chest. awesome, see last bullet point on bra extenders. seriously, they can stop growing now.
• cravings: nothing out of the ordinary. sometimes sweets others salty.  I don't think they're really pregnancy cravings just the chubby girl inside of me excited to not be on a diet anymore. oops.
• maternity clothes: I am so thankful to my SIL Summer who passed down a bunch to me last month and I got another huge tub from a sorority sister [funny how the borrowing clothes from sorority sisters has come full circle - from outfits to go to bars and formals to maternity clothes, I love it. ZTA is forever]. needless to say, DJ and I [and our bank account] are super appreciative! I also got a Target gift card from Lindsey to use on maternity clothes and got an adorable pair of jeans since that was the one thing I still  needed. so yes, I'm living it up in my new maternity wardrobe and loving it.
• number of backrubs I've gotten from DJ: too many to count, I don't deserve that sweet, sweet man.
• movement: eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! YES. I can feel the baby moving around! I felt it for the first time Monday night and it's insane -- it's like a little goldfish swimming around there and popcorn flickers all at once... I still can't believe there's a baby growing inside me - a-ma-zing.
• gender: still unknown. ultrasound is scheduled for december 19th! can't wait! :)
• best moment of the week: feeling the baby move and hearing little baby j's heartbeat again yesterday!
