postal woes...

seriously. I don't even know where to begin. I'm having a hellacious day (for reasons I know are petty but still frustrate me). SO the wedding invites are out - including our RSVP postcard.... so when we originally printed the postcard I think they were 3x4... Lindi and I did 99 of them (stamping our address, writing the little number on the corner, and affixed the postage stamps) when we realized (thanks to Jenny) that they were too small to be mailed... I then did some googling and figured out that they needed to be 3x5 to be mailed (OH WAIT. They need to be 3.5 x 5).

So we went, got the postcards reprinted, did the whole process over again finished them and mailed the invites out - yesterday, no RSVPs came... which was weird because a lot of people told me they mailed theirs out.... so I started getting anxious... SO, today at work, I definitely re-googled the same questions and yup... they need to be 3.5 x 5 - rather than our 3x5.5... I feel like such an idiot and I'm SO frustrated.

I vented to Sarah, who was very patient with me (better than DJ that kept saying "relax" - sorry honey, that doesn't help). Finally, I calmed down and setup an RSVP system on our wedding webpage where people could RSVP.... and then sent out some emails to folks who were invited.

UGH so annoying... it's embarrasing, I thought I caught the problem and fixed it - but after all that work and effort we still screwed it up... oh well. Who knows, maybe the post office will deliver them (some? maybe? please?).... oh well. That's my wedding screw-up rant of the day... but people have been responsive to the webpage, I've had 10 people RSVP already! YAY....

Bet this wouldn't happen at Hogwarts.... ugh!

Anyways, in case you're wondering in my postal-guidelines-induced-rage I did not fall of the wagon... (although listening to the guy in the office next to mine order an eggroll with his chinese food is making me craaaaaaave)... I've been really good today too! Still no sugar and no bread and I did pretty well at crossfit last night, I ended up doing the modified "B" workout which was - 10 pullups (assisted by a band), 20 knees to elbows, 30 burpees, 1000m row - three times... I finished in 44 minutes and 18 seconds! The last one in my class to finish the B workout - but hey, I finished! And when I looked at the whiteboard of everyone's times throughout the day I didn't do too bad, I was faster than a few people, which is exciting... tonight's workout is an AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) workout with some lifting, sprints, and burpees.... so I'm psyched to see what I can pump out with lifting (wish me luck)!

Okay, off to eat my grapes and wallow in a sea of mis-sized postcards... UGH!

Do you know what's kinda funny...only because it's in the past for me? This exact same thing happened to me.

My printer made our postcards too small, and when I took them to the post office they said they wouldn't mail them. Luckily my printer reprinted them because it was his mistake. So frusterating. I feel ya on this one.

Wow that sucks... Im sorry :(

Good job on eating so healthy and keeping up your fitness regime. Wish I had your motivation and willpower. I discovered a little bit of "cottage cheese" on my "thunder thighs" yet I still havent found my way into the gym

I never even thought about that because I bought the postcard paper from OfficeMax and made them myself on the computer. I just assumed they'd be ok. :) But the post office might still mail them, so don't panic. But THANKFULLY you have the online system so that'll be good. And worst case scenario- you make calls on your deadline date. No big. It could be worse, right? Imagine if we had no phones or internet! ;)

I didn't even realize until now that there were size limitations at the post office. My RSVP card envelopes were probably 3X5 or smaller and I didn't have any problems with it. So, maybe you'll be safe.

That's just darn ridiculous. I mean...half an inch? Really? I can understand that the post office doesn't want them to be too small, but I just don't think there's any need for an EXACT SPECIFIC SIZE like 3.5x5 or whatever.
